Norrland, Sweden-- Torbjoern Faelldin and Maud Olofsson's tour along the Norrland coast is a smash hit - wherever the dynamic Centerpartiet duo show up, crowds gather and give their support. Faelldin, the man who defeated the Soc. Dem. junta 30 years ago, injected some of the good old Spirit of '76 in the cheering crowds.

Faelldin, former prime minister and known as one of the harshest opponents to nuclear power in modern time, said Monday that he accepts Centerpartiet's u-turn in the nuclear power debate. - As far as I know, Centern hasn't gained any new members with the traditional argumentation in the nuclear issue, said the former Centerpartiet leader to SvD.
Thus proven that even an 80 year old farmer recognizes the undisputable fact that nuclear power is a hip and crowdpleasing way to warm up the house. Why can't more environmentalists be more like Faelldin? Freedom Fighter veteran Faelldin also proved that he's ready to take the position as 'The Alliance's answer to Yoda'. When a reporter from SVT asked what kind of advice Faelldin would give to a new anti-socialist government, he answered cryptically, but wisely: - He who arrives uninvited, leaves unthanked.
