According to motorist organization Motormaennen ('The Motor Men', no relation to criminal biker gangs or the leather-outfitted queers of 'Scandinavian Leather Men', editor's remark), the positive outcome of the dreaded Stockholm experiment have been violently exaggerated.
The congestion tax trial period in Stockholm have been evaluated by a numerous crowd of researchers and consultants. - The evalutations are very well done. However, the analysts seem to have chosen the positive interpretation when there has been different interpretations of a result to chose from, professor Ilja Cordi told Dagens Nyheter today. Prof. Cordi is an independent researcher on Motormaennen's payroll. He's been studying the studies of the extremely repressive anti-motorist congestion tax. According to liberal newspaper DN, the congestion tax opponents of Stockholm have long suspected that 'the good of shorter car queues and cleaner air have been overrated'. Prof. Cordi proves them right. Because they are right. Congestion tax may clean the air and clear the streets, but what's the use when people have to pay to drive into the city to breath that air? In addition, forcing motorists to pay for their driving makes transportation by car akin to prostitution. And prostitution is also wrong. |
