(M) politician fights for freedom of choice, calls for fewer darkhaired kids in media

Soedertaelje, Sweden--
Local politician Agneta Oestman-Wenger, candidate for Moderaterna in Nykvarn, calls for less darkhaired kids depicted in the media. She wants to see more blond children of traditional Swedish ethnicity.

'I love lintottar (small children with very blond hair)', she wrote in an email to the editor of Soedertaelje newspaper Laenstidningen. She also asked if there's something wrong with having a preference for blond children.

Oestman-Wenger, herself a stunning blonde who doesn't have to belach her hair, contacted the Soedertaelje newspaper Laenstidningen (LT) with a plea for better racial balance in the seasonal 'kids starting school' coverage. She questioned the newspaper's ambition to take photos of black-haired children of foreign extraction instead of ethnically Swedish first-graders.

'This is the second time in a week you've printed enchanting pictures of schoolkids in LT. And this is the second time in a row that just ONE Swedish child/name is depicted, referred to. ONE.', Oestman-Wenger writes.

She continues:
'Today, again: 'Beginning school with the right equipment'. Big photo, in the foreground, a child of foreign descent. In the background 2 kids of foreign descent and barely visible a Swedish boy and in the corner a Swedish girl. 2 photos and 1 with a Swedish girl.'

Oestman-Wenger is giving Laenstidningen a very close and critical read. And she's really good at media criticism. Naringslivets MediaInstitut (the neo-lib/neo-con watchdog of socialist-biased Swedish media) should employ her immediately!

In a follow-up to the letter, published in Laenstidningen, Oestman-Wenger says:
- It's the same in SVT. Only immigrant kids are covered.

Oestman-Wenger's voice needs to be heard in a die-hard politically correct Sweden where native kids are deemed to be unworthy of media coverage. When she raises her voice for more blond kids in the media, she's also calling out for freedom of choice. Newspaper readers must be given the option to read articles where the blackhaired kids are edited out.
