BAE Systems continues to cooperate fully with the SFO Inquiry. The continued reporting of allegations against us represents an attack on the reputation of our company and individuals. BAE Systems continues to reject the allegations being made.
We have very strong policies and processes in place which are clearly communicated to our employees and our advisors. These policies are subject to a robust assurance process. We accept no compromise of our values. BAE Systems is committed to complying with all laws implementing OECD and FCPA anti-corruption legislation.
In relation to advisors I can add the following point, applicable to all BAE Systems' global business activities:
Companies operating in global markets, in any industry, need access to local advice and guidance in order to pursue business. It is perfectly legitimate that such advisers/consultants are properly remunerated for their legitimate services and for the achievement of new business.
All BAE Systems advisers/consultants are clear that the company will not tolerate illegal actions. Our principles and policies have been drawn to their attention and all contracts are subject to termination in the event of impropriety.
