Puppet show with a new guest actor per episode: Marimba is a happy but rather dippy little bumble bee who runs the Hotel Chanterelle in the middle of the woods. Gloria the glow-worm works in reception, and is really the one who does everything at the Chanterelle. Gregory the grasshopper is a guest, but he has been there for as long as anyone can remember, so he?s now almost part of the furniture. He has his own special place in reception where he reads his newspaper and keeps an eye on all the comings and goings. You never know who?s going to turn up at the Chanterelle, and anything can happen. Part 1 of 12: Kung Gregory. The king arrives in the woods to officially open the new viewing spot. He asks to rest awhile at the Hotel Chanterelle, so Gregory steps in as the king?s substitute... Part 2 of 12: Bert. Gregory still sleeps with his cuddly rabbit Bert, but thinks that he really should have grown out of it by now. He asks a guest for help kicking the rabbit habit... Part 3 of 12: Marimba shops till she drops. Marimba feels a bit down and buys some jewellery to cheer herself up. But once she?s started shopping, she can?t stop... Part 4 of 12: Room for a friend. The hotel?s fully booked, but there?s always room for a friend, as Marimba says. So she finds a way round it? Part 5 of 12: A girls? night out. A gang of girls check into the hotel to go on a fun run, and to have dinner together. Marimba and Gloria also take the opportunity to have a girls? evening as Gregory is having his own gentlemen?s night out with his old friend Tony... Part 6 of 12: Catch. Gloria finds an old ball, which she throws into the woods. The ball happens to hit a man, who gets a big dirty stain on his shirt. The man becomes so angry that Gloria doesn?t dare tell him it was she who threw the ball... Part 7 of 12: The lady in white. Gregory reads a ghost story before going to bed and gets scared of the dark. A couple of newly weds arrive at the hotel... Part 8 of 12: The master chef. A master chef turns up at the Hotel Chanterelle and teaches Marimba to cook a specially delicious lunch. But he gets his words mixed up so it?s not the easiest thing in the world to remember the recipe... Part 9 of 12: Babysitters. Gloria is to babysit Abby, aged 7, who?s staying at the hotel. When Abby starts to miss her home, Gloria hits on the idea of teasing Gregory... Guests: Emelie Ahrle, Paula McManus. Part 10 of 12: Tango. There?s a dance contest in the woods, and Marimba wants to dance the tango with a proper tango dancer. Gregory would love to be Marimba?s dancing partner, so he practises in secret... Part 11 of 12: Magicked away. Magician Trixie teaches Marimba some conjuring tricks. But suddenly Marimba makes a mistake and turns Trixie into a frog... Part 12 of 12: Miss Gloria regrets. Gloria finds a job in Italy and will be leaving the Hotel Chanterelle. Gregory and Marimba don?t want her to go, and they each show her how they feel in their own way.
